Winter Joy

Good Saturday morning. Sun is shining bright, still no rain, and I am working on some Christmas cards! Our North Wisconsin LC-MS church district's Bible Camp (Camp Luther) has a program called 'Every Kid to Camp', which is a type of 'scholorship' to help send kids who have never been to camp before and would like to attend. Every fall they hold a silent auction to help raise money for the EKTC fund. Our craft ladies decided we would send a basket with 25 handmade Christmas cards for the auction. And The Timeless Tuesday Challenge over at Flourishes was to make a Christmas Card/project. So here is my first card for our  basket.

When I dug out my Christmas papers and stuff this snowflake strip left from last year's projects was on the top of the box, and the DP was right under it. This DP is so pretty on it's own that I really didn't have to add much to make it stand out. I love how it turned out.
I punched the border on the snowflake strip & layered it on some lavender cardstock. I used a border strip over the seam where the DP and cardstock meet. I added some green rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes, and to the purple tree as well. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and Amethyst EP, and heat embossed. I used a spellbinder die to cut and mat the sentiment on the outside, and popped it up with foam dots, and for the verse inside. On the inside I  used some of the DP and cardstock to highlight the sentiment, and set it at an angle. Hope you like it!
