Elly-phant Birthday :)

Sunshine again today-but don't let it fool you. It is only 9 degrees out there-and even colder with the wind-chill factor-brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Here is a card I threw together quickly just from things laying on my work table. The challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs-Operation Write Home for February is to have brown as the main color of your card. I'd been thinking of this all month, and when the elephant print (3 Bugs in a Rug-Animal Cutouts)  and brown paper jsut happened to end up stacked together I thought-works for me! Cute little boy birthday card.

I used the sketch from Clean & Simple stamping. I used Stampin' Up Woodgrain background stamp inked with SU Chocolate Chip ink stamped on Co'ordinations brown panel. It doesn't show up on the picture very good, but I distressed the edges of the mat to look like rough cut lumber. Added a scrap of SEI Playday striped DP. Backed the elephant with a scrap of blue shimmer cardstock and added some gold brads, mounted it with some foam pop-ups. Punched 3 stars from green and white scraps, sponged some CTMH Indian Corn Blue a round the edges. A  Peel-Off Hap. B-day sticker to finish it off.
Will also enter in the Less Is More challenge-to use metal on your project (brads, gold metallic sticker.)

This will go into my box for Operation Write Home.
