'Fishers of Men' congrats card.

I've been promising the gals in my craft group that I would post the card I made for our Pastor for his 25th anniversary as an ordained minister, since I had to give it to him before I showed it to anyone (that's what I get for putting it off until the last minute).
Our wonderful Pastor is a great 'fisherman', in more than one way. So I knew my card had to have a 'fishing' theme that reflected not only his ministry, but his love of actually fishing for fish! We are so thankful that he decided to make a career change 25 years ago and chose to 'follow Jesus'.

I used the CTMH 'Perfect Day' Stamp set and stamped lighthouse image and the birds on the outside. I also used the water image from CTMH 'Summer Breeze' set.  I stamped it all in Momento Rich Cocoa and used Copic Markers to colorthe lighthouse and water. I then masked the lighthouse and used various colors of Pebbles chalks to color in the sky, then stamped the birds and the sentiment. I added some waterfall Stickles to the water.

On the inside of the card I stamped the boat and fence image from the Perfect Day set gently added some color with the chalks. I really like how this turned out. It would also make a very nice masculine birthday card or a sympathy card.
Please leave a comment-I love to hear from you.

CAS B-day card

The challenge over at Flourishes for their Release week challenge is to make a 10 Minute card. I really have had trouble in the past doing simple cards, but this came together very quickly once I decided what I wanted to do. (This  would also make a nice Father's Day card.)

I used a new Cuttlebug Embossing Folder called 'Pinking Borders'. I love this folder-soooo many possibilities! I used SU Whisper White and Navy cardstock. The stamp sets used are: Flourishes 'Kids Play' (the boy fishing and sentiment); Our Daily Bread "Sympathy' (cattails-just part of one stamped image); and Close to My Heart 'Perfect day' (birds). I stamped them with Versamark ink and used SU white embossing powder. I cut the blue to fit inside the embossed border and mounted it with foam tape. Quick and easy! I really like how it turned out.
We are having a baby shower next week for my 'great-grandson' Eli-one month old tomorrow! I am going to make up some card bundles to use as game prizes and door prizes. This will be one style that I will use as they really do work up quick and are really nice.
Hope you like. Please leave a comment.
